Overview
Fosa Q is a 20 meter wide artificial pool located near the center of Sector Q. It was visible on the ground surface as a ring of large stones in a depressed area. Excavations revealed that the pool was lined with large stones, but the interior appeared to have been cleaned prior to abandonment. Abundant Late Preclassic period refuse was found near to south of the pool, but we are uncertain if it was associated with the pool, nearby Structure Q 2/1, or both.
